kelseyvilles football team lost.. again!! nevermind. i had a good time that's important ;)) except it was cold. it's getting colder and colder now.

tomorrow i'll gonna have my senior picutres photoshooting. every senior needs to have a picture for the yearbook. so i am very excited for tomorrow but i still don't now what to wear.. we'll see..

3th cross country meeting and it was amazing!!

i am soo excited to tell you about today! :)

so we got out of school at lunch and headed in to the car ( chris takes always off from work to help driving.. thats so nice from him.)  when we wana drive to santa rosa we always need to pass a big mountain and this takes many curves... so as we were sitting in the car, elizabeth, one of the new girls in the team opened the window and throwed up. i know it is mean to laugh but haha it was soo funny. she took it also very easy and had to laugh too.

and actually it wasn't santa rosa where we where going, it was sanoma. it is a town near by santa rosa. anyway the meeting was by a private highschool and it was freeking cool there! everything was new and clean.. the just have too much money. take a look at this:

yeeah how awesome is that!

ok let's come to the meeting. the whole track was easier compared to the two meetings i already had. it was just 2.6 miles and the weather wasn't that hot. aand i got wather during the run! compared to the last run in santa rosa.. ( it was so bad, my team or even my couch should have give me something to drink but they weren't there to support me.. yeah but luckely i did it till the finsih)

anyway i think i did quiet well.. I did 9th place from totally 27 girls. and the coach said that i am gonna be in the newspaper for that soo that's very cool.. :)

and the kelseyville cross country team is getting bigger and bigger. rite now we are 4 girls so that's unbelievable!! we just need to have one more girl and then we are a full girls team and we can receive points on each meeting. ok i'll show you now how our team is growing:

bami goreng and cupcakes

  last saturday i decided to cook the dinner. i had a hard time to decide what i gonna cook, but after a phoncall with my mum, i had it: bami goreng! it is just because i loove it and it's one of the not so many things i can cook out of my mind. aand i need to say it was delicous! i think my family liked it too! for dessert i did some cupcakes. it was very easy to do them. i just needed to mix some ingredients together and a sort of pulver..

on sunday we went again to the lake but this time with a different boat. it was a wakeboard boat. i enjoyed it alot. it was muuch easier to get up on the wakeboard.. i tried to do some tricks but one wrong move and you're done. i felt directly on my face . imagine this speed from the boad and baaaahm you fall . 

i also tried to wake surf but for me it was much harder to get up.

 i wish i can say that's me . but it isn't..

another very successfull day goes to end. i am happy cause my grandmother called me.. she told me about lili my beest dogydog back home and some neews about switzerland.

i will alway miss you guys over there but i try to look forward cause the time is running and suddenly my exchange year is over. i need to enjoy it!!

homecoming week!!

it was a fun week.. as you know everyday we had to dress up different. and at lunch we had to go to the gym and there we had like competitions against the grade's. the class which has more people who are dress up, win.  and it was veery crowded and everyclass shouted to each other.

at thursday was class color day. that means every senior needs to dress up purlple, the juniors pink, the softmores green and the little freshmens yellow. it was alot funnier than the other days because EVERYBODY had something on that was in that color. i think because it was just so easy to find cloths. so here some pics from our purple crowd called the seniors.

on friday everybody had to wear black and orange: the color of our school. actually i don't really like orange. so i have no cloth in orange. but me as a lucky girl has a sister who is a cheerleader! and she as plenty of orange and black things. so i could borrow cloth from her. that was great!:))

at friday evening there was that very important footballgame called homecoming. there were alot of people and bad news first: the lost. but the best part was the chearleading dance. because courtney choreographed it and did the backflip in front of everybody!! it was just awesome!! i'll try to upload a movie from it. i was soo proud of her. :))

ok i need to go to bed now. will write soon! i'm excited for tomorrow because tomorrow's a minimum day.. that means that we just have half of the lessons . so i can leave school on 12 o'clock!! jeeah.

homecoming week!

the days are getting better and better.! everyday i meet new people and it is a lot of fun..

anyway. this week is homecoming week. everyday we need to dress up different .. and today was fake and injury day. not many people are dressing up. just the cool people you know:

just kiddin.. it was hela fun! some guy came with a wheelchair into school. and i got to drive one.

ohh let's introduce you ray.. he's the other exchangestudent in kelseyville high! he's from taiwan. (don't worry he's doing ok. this picture i took today --> fake and injury day)

some things changed: the calculus class was way too hard for me. i got to change it. so i had to go to the office today and i spoke with a nice lady. then she showed me the other classes i could take. soo i change now from probably the hardest class you can take (calculus) to horticulture. that's everything about growing plants and so one. and at the end of the year you can sell the plant you raised. pretty cool ha! yeah so that's a new thing. 

on thuesday every senior needs to dress up in purple. so our Art teacher said to bring a white t-shirt so that we can color it purple. and i got a white t-shirt for just 3 dollars. amazing. ok so today we colored the white t-shirt . aand i dit tay day. i need to show you some pics. imagine my shirt looked just normal:

tomorrow will be my second cross country meeting! it is in santa rosa so we need to leaf school very early because it is probably one hour or more to drive. i am excited to go. cross country makes a lot of fun.. the people are veery great. haha and i always have to laugh about our coutch . he is a bit messy. for example i telled him my name for sooo many times now. and i wrote it also down for him . and today he needed to make a list with the names of every cross country runner. and guess how he wrotes my name: LISIA ÜIRICH. no joke!! i had to laugh so hard because i really told him how to write my name and now he writes lisia üirich .. ah meeen. ^^

perfect day!

it was 10 o'clock in the morning and i was still sleeping when chris knocked on the door and gave me a CARAMEL CAPPUCHINO. what a great starter in the day!! i thought nothing can stopp me now.. this day's gonna be perfect.

and it was a perfect day. watch this movie and believe me. i was never befor on a wakeboard or something like this. and i was hela fun. it is officialy my new favourite sport. :))

i just saw that chris put that movie on fb.. what a thief!! he stole it ! nevermind.. 

now real life starts and i really need to do calculus.

some things are just invented but most of them are reeal life. i mean some of them are really the true: wholes in the jeans are sooo famous here. everyone has everywhere a whole in their jeans. crazy crazy. expect of me.. BUT just wait. once in a while, i will grab me a sisscor and cut a whole in it. 

now second thing: everyone hast straight hairs! they all straight it with an iron or whatever they call it. and so i wondered how this would look on me. everyone knows that i have very curly hairs. soo today i did it!! yes yes it was a hard time but it was an experience!

third thing: go to the cinema!! tonight, chris, michelle, courtney and i went to the movies and it was veryberry cool. "our idiot brother"  came.

fourth thing: yesterday we went to the footballgame. in ersparto which was an one and a half hour drive from kelseyville. by the way it was awesome. i really like the cheerleader girls!! 

soo i was the whole day on swallowing ( schluckweh) and i just wanted to drink something warm to relax my pain. and then finally on eleven o'clock when we drove back, chris stopped by a gasstation to buy a coffe. and then i thought noow, ooh now here is my chance to buy something hot, to loose my pain. it was like in a dream: i almost ran into the store. i took a cup and filled it in with HOT chocolate. i could fell the heat throw the cup.

the story is NOT finish: suddenly i heard an old employee speaking something to me. "tip out a little bit from your chocolate" without thinking, i did what he said to me. he took my drink and spilled more hot choclate.. and i was just standing there and watched what he's gonna do next: he walked to the ice machine and pushed the vanilla ice button . o my gosh and what happend? ice came out and destroyed my hot cholate. i was shocked.

for today it is enough.

My first cross country meeting!

yeey nobody thought that cross country could make so much fun. the race was awesome. even when there was an up and downhill everytime. i enjoyed the area where were the race was. sooo beautiful. it was just a little bit emberassing to see how many people in the other cross country teams are. haha i show you now the team car from clear lake highschool:

so now i uploaded a short movie. the couch wanted that i film our guys on the start, so here it is. and i always  need to smile about our couch. he is was so nervous for everybody and he was pretty proud of us because we all did a quiet good race. ps: the couch is the one with the hat, who is screaming.

:D we had a good time together and i'm looking forward to go on the other races.. the next one is in santa rosa and it will count!

ride after the race we all just jumped into the lake.. it was an awesome feeling. 

yes that was my first cross country meeting.. the coutch wanted us to train more uphill running, so today it was again a veery exhausting practise. aand so far i had a good week with cool peoples and experiences. but i am now excited for the weekend..

tomorrow chris will pick me up from school on two o'clock, because i will go with the cheerleader to the football game, which is one and a half hour away from kelseyville..

and suddenly theres only one left..

today i got my first mail from my family!!! i was so excited about it. they sended me some delicous choclate, my favorite magazine "friday", my calculator, pralines for my hostfamily and a guide for san francisco.. and not to forget, there was also a letter from my grandparents and from lovely sister nina.

school was realy like everyday.. it is weird because in switzerland i used to have everyday an other scedule and since i am here, EVERYDAY is the same. it is kinda boring. BUT still interesting.. haha how can i explain that.. because it is so different as in switzerland, it is intersting.

i did'nt tell you that yesterday was a girl in the cross country team.. it was also the first time for here and she and i where the only girls in the group. i was very happy about it, that there's an other girl in the team. yes , it was a very hard practise with all the workouts but we handeled it.
 sooo suprise suprise today when i got to the practise the couch told us that this girl don't wana come anymore .. haha so now there is only one girl left! me. anyway todays practise was also very hard but i think with time and time i will be in there, and it will be much easier for me . also everyday will be for one degree colder . so thats good news. bad news are that we have a meeting tomorrow. we will raise against other highschools in this "clear lake area". the run is about 3.2 miles (5 km) long.

first cross country training. go hard or go home.

today today was a good day. i enjoyed to go to school it was exhausting and freeking cold: in english class i have this teacher who always is sweating like a bear ( he also looks kinda like a bear..) so he put a extra large airconditioner in the classroom..wuuah it is soo freezing!

so actually i am very tired and i just wana tell you about todays cross country training: it started with a 2 miles (3.21 km) run under the hot sun. imagine "poor" lisa who had like 3 months holidays by doing NOTHING active!! very hard but i did it! so after that we had to work-out: 200 push ups, 200 bauchmuskeltraining übung, 100 other bauchmuskel workouts and finaly pull ups as much as we can. ( i did one ;)) . yes yes and on wednesday i have already a meeting (a competition)! how crazy is that..  but because i really did nothing for a long time a enjoy it now very much. i like to run and be active. .  coolest thing we got a team t-shirt! our trainer told us that we're the first team who starts again to cross country . the last team which existed was on 2003. and now seven years later they finaly found some crazy kids who wana run auround in the heat. happy end for the cross country team in kelseyville highschool;)

WARNING! never watch the movie "everything must go on"

i am soory but i had to put this as a title! we wanted to watch a great movie tonight and choosed "everything must go on" because the trailer showed something interesting. ride on and as we were sitting in the chair we were shocked how borring it is. first courtney left the living room and after, michelle decided to go sleeping. so just chris and i watched one hour more and i really thought it never gonna end.

this whole day was kinda special: today we settled everything up to go wakeboarding but when we were finished sadly we could'nt go.  this guy who was going to show me how to wakeboard, did party hard yesterday, so he wanted to sleep in. ok ok no problem so i decided to go walking around the neighborhood to check out some cool places to go jogging. i went with boo (the dog). i also took my camera with me to take some pictures..

 these two guys up there are missionaries.. i took this picture after they spoke to me.. first i didn't see it but then when the one asked me in what i believe i understood what they are. then i just said "you know i am a normal person, not like you!" haha uups did i just say something wrong?! no no after this i left and chris told me they were mormonen who believe in strainght things.

 this mountain is called konocti. it is the biggest one in kelseyville. the other hills here don't have names. just konocti is the king.

so tomorrow's gonna be my second school week and i am pretty excited. because lisa likes when something is going on.. and i tell you now what i've learned these days: never eever listen to sad music when you're tousand miles away from home. it is the worst thing you'll ever can do.

yesterday was the first football game .. yeeah and it was awesome! they loosed but yes kelseyville dit a great job! :) after this first week of school i am really tired. i think it is because everything is soo new.. but i think it will change soon. :) i should do my homework but i don't feel like doing it so here i am and write a post for you guys.

in school i have already lots of stuff do to . for example in art, we need to draw a peanut. i feel like all my dreams come true, because now i can draw what i always wanted to draw.. a PEANUT.. ;) just kiddin. i give my best and do it. then in US history it soo interesting because mr carrier is a very good teacher.. he's doing his job with heart. you know what i mean? some teachers just stand in front of the class and say what they need to say but mr carrier brings a lot of energie in it.


soo today s going to be a relaxing day and on the evening we're going to steffanys house who's a very good friend from chris and michelle.

ahh and ps: i am thinking about cheerleading for basketball.. this would be craazy crazy funny!! imagine me as a cheerleader shouting out some cheersentences.. :D

it was and still is alway beautiful weather. since i am here, i never saw any clowds!! isn't that amazing! so last weekend was nice weather, what else..! and on both days we went with the boat to clear lake. that's the lake which is very near from us. we can almost see the lake from our house. anyway it was very funny with courtney, connie , korina and chris.. maybe i'll gonna learn how to wakeboard. jeeh!

it was also a fair in town. and we went there for three times :) i got to know a very special and lovely person who has a very touching story. his name is rodeo and he is dead. maybe i eat him in a hamburger.. who knows.. this sounds crazy i know! sooo here you are: rodeo is a bull who was at the fair. and he is not just a bull he is the winner of all the bulls in the town. he is a hero. now a picture from him and his "mother" who looked at him at her house since he was a little baby.

 the "mother's" name is kathelyn she's the same age as me. and on the fair she sold rodeo for 13'000 dollars. i was very impressed about it because that's kinda tuff wen you treated a bull since he's a baby and from one to the other day you give him away to kill him. that's life..
